Location : Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim is 30 km from Singtam in Sikkim, India.

Know Singtam in Sikkim
Singtam town is situated in the East Sikkim District of Sikkim, about 30 km from the state capital, Gangtok. This town was developed due to its location as a junction and supply point for the South District of Sikkim. The Government Fruit Preservation Factory is located at this place. The major attraction located at Singtam is the Bermoik Monastery, nearby. Dzongu Valley is easily accessible from Singtam. Singtam in Sikkim is abundant with the yellow heap of oranges, beside the road, during the season. 

Journey to Singtam in Sikkim
Airport : Nearest airport is Bagdogra in West Bengal( 124 kms.), from where scheduled flights operates to and fro from Kolkata, Delhi, Guwahati. The Bagdogra airport is connected to Gangtok by a helicopter service operating between Gangtok - Bagdogra - Gangtok.

Railhead : Two nearest railway station are at Siliguri (114 km) and New Jalpaiguri (125 km) stabilizing link to Calcutta, Delhi, Guwahati, Lucknow and other important cities in India.

Road Transport : Gangtok is connected with all weather mettaled road with Siliguri, Kalimpong, Gangtok etc. Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim is connected by all weather road to Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Siliguri and also to all the District headquarters within Sikkim.
Private Taxis, Jeeps and Landrovers ply regularly on the Gangtok Siliguri Highway and are available for transfer of passengers between Gangtok and Siliguri/ New Jalpaiguri Junction/ Bagdogra, and also for local sightseeing at fixed rates and may be reserved through Tourist Bureau, Govt. of West Bengal, Gangtok.

NOTE : Foreigners need a permit to enter Sikkim (available at Siliguri).

Staying in Singtam (Sikkim)
Accommodation is easily available in Gangtok, which is just 30 km form Singtam. You may take your pick from the many hotels, tourist Lodge, tourist hostel and tourist cottages in Gangtok. Check out for the hotels that suits you the most.

Sightseeing in Singtam (Sikkim)
Bermoik Monastery
This monastery was constructed in 1952 and follows the Nyingma sect of Buddhism. It is situated in South Sikkim above Singtam.

Dzongu Valley
Dzongu Valley is about 70 km north of Gangtok and can be accessed through Singtam road. This valley is formed by the fast flowing glacier fed rivers emerged from the Great Himalayas. It comprises of forest and is blesseed with the important rivers, Teesta and Tolung. Dzongu Valley rests in the shadow of the beautiful and unique, Mount Kanchenjunga and Mount Siniolchu
