About Namchi :
Namchi located in southern Sikkim is 78 km from the state capital of Gangtok. Nestled among he hills of Sikkim at an elevation of 5,500 feet, the word Namchi itself means sky high. It is getting a lot of attention of the tourists due to many tourist places to be visited nearby. The one and only existing tea estate in the state that produces the top quality in the international market, the Temi tea estate is situated near Namchi. A visit to the tea garden along with the factory visit is quite educating experience.
The Menam hill is situated at the altitude of 10,300 feet. Not only the famous mountain ranges of the Kanchandzonga, but on a bright sunny day even the plains of Bengal are visible from this place. Indeed the scenic view from this place is unmatched from any other view in Sikkim.
The base of the Menam hill is the small township of Ravangala. It is a transit spot for trekkers going south and those who venture to the north of Sikkim. One of the holiest caves of Sikkim, the sacred cave of Shar Chok Bepchu is near to Ravangala and a trek to this place is a memorable experience.

Samdrupste
Samdrupste is situated 8 kms away from the town at an alitude of 7000fts. where Government has started construction of RCC structure of Guru Rinpoche of 135 fts. height. The Foundation stone was laid by his Highness the 14th Dalai Lama
Helipad
Helipad is located 5 kms away from town at an altitude of around 5000 fts. From here one can get the most panaromic view of Mt. Kanchanzonga with the surrounding mountain a part of Darjeeling Kalimgpong and the rolling plains of Bengal. The visitors can savour the breathtaking view of temi tea garden the one and the only tea estate in the state which produces top quality tea in the international market.
Cottage Industry
Situated 2 kms away from town the centre is established with the aim of promoting and preserving Sikkimese art and craft of authentic Sikkimese design.
Doling Gumpa
Follows the Nyimgpa sect of Buddhism which is also the oldest Sect and commonly refferd to as The Red Hat Sect. A hike to the monastry also allows one a close a experience of the rich flora and fauna of the area.
Rock Garden
The garden is situated below Samdrupste. It is a recreation and picnic spot. It offers magnificent view of Mount Kanchendzonga.
Namchi Monastery
Namchi Monastery is located just above the town and was constructed during the regime of Chogyal Ghurmed Namgyal.
