Built by British in 1885, a 300-foot tall lighthouse stands guard over this Lakshadweep Island. You can feast your eyes on the colorful race boats called 'Jahadhoni' and the traditional dance form 'Lava' performed during festivals. Shipping industry and tuna canning factories are a major source of livelihood.
Agatti Island - The airport, with regular Air India flights, makes Agatti Island the gateway to the other Lakshadweep Islands. It is home to some of the best lagoons the world has ever seen. This is organized by the Lakshadweep Administration. The time duration is 18 to 20 hours. Proper accommodation with basic amenities and prompt services are offered by the ships.
